How Louisiana teachers can use AI to plan lessons in minutes

AI won't replace your planning judgment, but it can hand you a strong first draft so you spend your time improving a lesson instead of starting from a blank page.

What AI does well in lesson planning

A simple way to start

  1. Tell the AI the grade, subject, topic and class length.
  2. Ask it to align to the Louisiana Student Standards and include an "I can" objective.
  3. Ask for the parts you need: warm-up, instruction, guided practice, independent practice and exit ticket.
  4. Follow up with changes: "make the practice more hands-on" or "add a version for English learners."

What to check before you teach it

Faster with the right tool

General chatbots work, but you have to write the instructions every time. Tangi Teacher, the app included with Bayou Teach workshops, has those instructions built in: pick "Lesson plan," choose your grade and topic, and get a Louisiana-aligned plan in under a minute.
